Ceramic Membrane Filtration System Kubota FILCERA?
1. System Outline
The KUBOTA FILCERA? is a Tank-submerged Type Ceramic Membrane Filtration System using the unique ceramic membrane developed by our company. Membrane modules are stacked in the membrane tank. Since the membrane filtration of raw water can be carried out directly, the system is simple and compact, and maintenance is also easy. (Refer to Fig.1) This system can remove turbidity and coliforms as well as Cryptosporidium completely, and it has many excellent features. So the system is suitable for the water purification of various kinds of raw water.
2. Characteristics
Excellent Water Quality The quality of membrane filtrate is higher than that of conventional coagulation / settling / rapid sand filtration process.
Stable for Fluctuations in Turbidity of Raw Water Without any pretreatment to reduce raw water turbidity, the membrane surface adhesion can be effectively removed by the cross-flow filtration with circulating air bubbles and the intermittent backwash. Even under conditions of high or changing turbidity, it maintains stable filtration performance. (Refer to Fig.2)
Long Life of Ceramic Membrane Since the ceramic membrane has the high resistance to chemicals and microorganisms erosion, and has mechanical toughness, neither qualitative change nor degradation arises. So, it has a very long life of 15 years.
Biological Treatment, Fe and Mn Removal Ammonia nitrogen can be removed by biological action in the membrane tank. Dissolved Fe and Mn is also removed by air diffusing, biological action and adsorption to the turbidity matters concentrated in the tank.
Recovery Ratio is Controllable Since suspended solids can be concentrated to high degree within the tank, the quantity of drainage can be controllable (Recovery ratio : 90-over 99%).
Easy Steps to Perform Advanced Water Purification It is possible to remove effectively offensive odor, trihalomethane precursors, etc by an advanced system combined with powdered activated carbon, which will stay in the membrane tank for a long time.
