Part I  Listening Comprehension

1. D   2.A         3.D  4. B   5. A  6. B   7. C   8. A   9.D   10.D

S11 prepare          S12 spoil             S13 purchase       S14 Using        S15 immediately

S16 available               S17. favorites               S18 Above all      S19. appearance    S20. taste

Part II Vocabulary and Structure

Section A

21. personality      22. Evidently      23. sensitive        24. anxiety                 25. favorable

26. original                27. involving       28. incapable       29. imaginable     30. encouraged

Section B

But for

This room is three times as large as that one. 本句中由于$1000是不可数名词,因此用as muchas much后省略了as $1000

36. A. 本题考查there be结构的变体。英文中表示存在,可以使用there be结构,也可以使用 There live/ stand/ lie/ exist/ remain等结构。 There stands a big tree behind my house.

so as that 引导目的状语从句,as far as 意为远到,直到,至于”,as long as 引导条件状语从句,意为 “只要……”,as soon as 引导时间状语从句,意为一……

39. A. 在主语+系动词+形容词+不定式结构中,做主语的名词或代词即可能是不定式动词的逻辑主语(如:I’m glad to meet you.),也可能是不定式动词的逻辑宾语(如:This sentence is easy to understand.)。

41. D. 本题考查常见短语 be used to…

在as引导的非限制性定语从句中,as可代指整个主句,在从句中做主语、宾语和表语(如:He won the game, as we had expected.)。 As has been pointed out, this theory is not always correct.

Whoever comes will be welcomed.

分析题目主干可以看出在it was some time 中,it为主语,was为谓语,some time表示时间长度,为表语,因此空格后部分为状语,需添加介词before。 I went to the bookstore before going back home.(我去了趟书店,然后回家了。)

该种从句的构成为:It be + 表示判断的形容词 + that ...(shoulddo ...。用于该句的常见形容词有:necessary, good, important, right, wrong, better, natural, proper, funny, strange, surprising.

48. B.  have sb./sthdo sth.与have sb./sthdoing sth. 另外,考生需注意so such的区别,so 表示“如此、这么”时,用来修饰形容词或副词,例如so heavy a desk such表示“如此、这么”时,用来修饰名词,例如such a heavy desk,里面a heavy desk是一个整体,这个整体是名词性的。和so一样,astoo也可以形成 so/as/too+形容词+冠词+名词的结构。

对过去的事情表示推测,则要使用must/can’t have done。

50. A. 行为动词need后加to do sth表示需要做某事(主语为人),也可加doing sth表示需要做某事(主语为物)。例如:My watch need fixing.

Part III Reading Comprehension

Task 1

51. D)原因题。文章首段尾句用“in order to trace the effects of depression”表明了这次试验的目的。

52. B)排除题。答案可从第三段的“but since depression can raise stress…”

从malady一词出现的句子可以看出those who do not suffer from the malady depressed people 存在对比,因此可以判断those who do not suffer from the malady指没患抑郁症的人。

54. A)推理题。

Task 2

A little package from Rose and me will reach you a day or two. We hope the small thing will interest you.

因此,本题答案应在第二段结尾处,从“her clients have got help they need, even if they can pay nothing at all”中,可以得D为正确答案。

58. A. 语意题。

59. A. 细节题。

Task 3

61. PR  62. LC  63. MJ   64. EQ   65. NB

6. What is the purpose of the meeting?

7. What should the students write on the paper?

Questions 8 to 10 are based on the following passage:

Passage

Families in America, like those in every culture, face many problems. Social pressures are breaking apart more and more American homes. Over half of U.S. marriages now end in divorce; more than a quarter of American children are growing up in single-parent homes. As a result, many people believe the American family is in trouble.

Even so, there is still reason for hope. Many organizations are working hard to strengthen families. Americans almost all believe that the family is one of the most important parts of life. The vast majority also feel that the traditional two-parent family is best for children. They realize that problems in family life in recent years have brought about serious consequences.

As a result, more and more people are making their family a priority. Many women are quitting their jobs to stay home with their children. Families are going on vacations and outings together. Husbands and wives are making a concentrated effort to keep their marriages solid.

8. What seems to be the main reason for divorce in the United States?

9. What is the ratio of American children growing up in single-parent homes?

10. What can you infer from the passage?

Section C

Directions: In this section you will hear a recorded short passage. The passage is printed on the test paper but with some words or phrases missing. The passage will be read three times. The first reading is for you to get the general idea. During the second reading, you are required to put the missing words or phrases on the blank in order of the numbered blanks according to what you hear. The third reading is for you to check your writing. Now the passage will begin.

During the summer you should be even more careful than usual of the foods you (S11) prepare. Foods (S12) spoil faster in hot weather than in cold weather. When you are shopping, (S13) purchase frozen and refrigerated foods last. Don't make long stops on the way home, because frozen foods could become soft or warm. (S14) Using insulated bags helps keep food cold until you get home. Milk and milk products should be refrigerated (S15) immediately. When camping or picnicking, or at any time refrigeration isn't (S16) available, use special dry foods. Don't leave foods in a hot car or beach bag. Picnic (S17) favorites like meat, chicken, and egg salad should be kept in a cooler. (S18) Above all, if a food doesn’t seem to be normal in smell or (S19) appearance, throw it away immediately. Don’t (S20) taste it.
