To My dearest passing exchange year,
How time flies!
It’s extremely unbelievable for me that half of my U.S. journey has already become my precious history.
Do you remember the very first impression I made on you? That Chinese 
girl with a white YFU T-shirt, standing in DTW, tried to find her host family which she’d never met before?
Do you remember the first test I took in my America high school? It was a map test in US history and I got an A+. When I close my eyes, I can still see the big smile given by Mr. Drummond– the most encourage, powerful expression EVER.
I think you do remember.
I believe you do.
Now I’d like to share some innermost feeling with you.
You might not know there was uncertain of everything at the very beginning, apart from all my excitements.
You might not know how delighted I was when I was able to talk to my friends fluently, getting involved in the topic at lunch time.
You might not know how difficult it was while I decided to change a host family. However, thanks to the family meeting, we are still friends eventually. I was moved deeply at the moment I heard my ex host dad say “Our house is always your home even though you’re leaving right now.”
I could see the path to grow up obviously. I know, it is YOU, it is YFU that provides it for me.
In addition, I want to tell you I love the YFU orientation, it is my prefect GPS during my US journey. I enjoyed the meeting so much!
In the end, all I could say is thank you. I know I’m lucky to be an exchange student of YFU.
