这组词都可表示“删除”、“略去”的意思。
delete “删除”，主要指在编辑和审稿过程中删掉不需要的章节或文字，也可表示去掉不要的东西。
1) If you delete this paragraph, the composition will have more appeal.
（如果你删除这一段,文章会有更强的吸引力。）
2) The article is on the whole well written, but you still need to delete some unnecessary words in it.
（这篇文章总体来说写得很好,但是你仍然需要删除/划掉一些不必要的字。）
3) Always delete unknown email attachments without opening them.
（要删除不知名的电子邮件附件，不要打开它们。)
omit “略去”、“漏掉”，指将某些文字或内容省略（并非不需要的），也可指因疏忽而遗漏。
1) There is no enough time to go over your plan. You should omit the details and just give us the main points.
（没有足够的时间审查你的计划，略去节日, 给我们讲重点。）
2）You can omit part of your experience if it isn’t related to the job your seeking.

erase 基本意思是“擦掉”、“抹掉”，可引申出“删除”，尤其指删除电脑中的软件、文件等。
1) She couldn’t erasze the terrrible experience from her memory.
(她无法把那次可怕的经历从记忆中沫去。)
2) Better to erase your private data constantly, leaving no traces of it in the computer.
（最好经常清除你的私人资料,不要在电脑中留下痕迹。）

这三个动词短语也可以表示“略去”、“删除”的意思。leave out 还可以表示“漏掉”的意思。
1) Before he finally sent its copies among members of the committee, he went over it again and again and made sure that no item of importance were left out. (omitted)
