经过一年精心调试，世界第一条商用高速磁浮铁路即将在上海投入正式运营。担任德方联合体总协调的格哈德·瓦尔近日向新华社记者强调，中国之所以能在全世界率先成功运用尖端的磁浮技术，一个重要原因就是坚持了民主集中的决策机制，而这正是以毛泽东、邓小平为代表的几代领导人留给中国的宝贵遗产。

“我从中学时代就知道毛泽东了。”64岁的瓦尔说，“但对他有深入了解，还是来中国工作的近三年。我觉得，中国政府的领导能力特别强，一旦决定干什么事，很少再争论，大家拧成一股劲，大大促进了经济快速发展。”中日合资上海国际贸易中心有限公司总经理山崎正晴认为，毛泽东对当今中国仍具影响力，中国仍然是一个社会主义国家。“几乎每个单位和公司，不管是国有还是外资，都有中国共产党的各级党组织；各省市区的党委，依然是最核心的领导力量；最关键的工作岗位，都有共产党员。”52岁的山崎说。

“一个国家和民族，能在世界舞台上与他国平等交往，坚持自己的立场和主张，真是非常可贵。中国做到了。”沼敬说。

瓦尔认为，毛泽东确定了中国作为一个大国的地位，并为中国的发展打下了基础。他觉得毛泽东“是一个有骨气的人，不怕困难，意志坚定”。他认为这种精神对民族和国家都至关重要，任何时候都不能轻易抛弃。山崎正晴所在的上海国贸中心目前的出租率高达98％，容纳了230多家跨国公司。山崎认为，没有毛泽东，很难有今天的中国；如果没有“文革”等政治运动，中国经济会比今日更发达。正是在这样的历史矛盾中，中国不断总结经验教训，逐步走向成熟。

接受采访的跨国公司老总普遍认为，25年来的改革开放政策，把中国推向了一条正确的发展道路。这一政策不仅使中国逐步富强，更重要的是，中国作为一个发展中大国，正在成为推动全世界进步的重要因素，而这正是以毛泽东为代表的新中国缔造者所期望的。

“平时我经常收到申请，每次回国也都有同事朋友为自己的孩子说情。他们都希望通过我介绍能到中国工作，来迅速发展的中国寻找机会。”身兼西门子交通系统集团副总裁的瓦尔说。
