曼谷一日One Day At My Lovely Bangkok

Hi, everybody!  My name is Nataly but my friends call me Ray.  It is so because I am fond of the Sun and solar energy . This energy is our future.
More than a year ago my husband and I (we are both 33 years old) quited our steady jobs in Moscow and went on a tour around Asia.  Last year we spent in India – this country is like a fairy tale. And now we reached Thailand. In forth months! Going only by buses and trains!  Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and here we are … in Bangkok!

Sometimes we settle down in certain places. Usually these places are near some sea.  As we love it.  ”In heaven we will be sitting on a cloud talking about the sea” – this is totally about us.

Oh and we post our notes! We also do volunteer work with children! Spend spare time thinking about life.  And we have lots of ideas that will soon become true.
So now we are in Bangkok …  got stuck in here as we love this city of angels. The date is 15 of November 2011.

We wake up when we want.  Being free is awesome! I got up the first as usually. I like it.  Oh!  At night a lot of weird sounds get into our room through the windows.  Woofing of dogs or some voices of birds.  And half of the night I just keep waking up and thinking what the hell that was!

While my husband Alex is sleeping I turn on my lappy in order to put down my thoughts and feelings.  Morning thoughts are the best.  Really clear.  The inspiration usually comes in the morning time!

While my lappy is turning on I find out what the date is and the time.  When you leave without any timetable you just come to the point when you are totally lost in dates.

The time is 9 am. I am going to the bathroom. Back at the room I see my husband  awake and checking his mail.

Аnd it is me!  We spent the morning playing the guitar , writing posts and looking through our photos. Our mornings are always creative.

It is about 12 am and we finally decided to get dressed and go outside!  We got one idea on our mind .  Almost forgot!  This is our room. Simple and cosy.

This is our district!

This is the road where our room is!

Getting  some fresh water!  These machines are very useful and in this city they are everywhere.

So now we are heading to a lovely place to get our breakfast!

This is their laundry …hm… place)

So we reached our favorite place. The food here is really delicious! The staff is friendly and funny.  Their cuisine is just amazing!  And the dishes are really fast cooked.  Our russian borsh takes usually about an hour  and here we have to spend only 15 minutes.

Ordered our breakfast  (Actually is is nearly 12:30… So maybe it is breakfast plus dinner)  Standard thing. We don’t like eating early in the morning.

The channel Chaopraii looks so romantic!

And who is this?))

And one more something is right there!   Of course it is not a crocodile.. Then it is a monitor lizard.   In this a little bit dirty.. OK! Pretty dirty channel you can find lots of turtles and fish.   Some people keep fishing here and some are swimming!  Oh my!

I love this city…  But the native citizens don’t care that much about their land. Trash is everywhere.  I hope one day everything will change for the better!

So here is our food! This is my rice with yummy green stuff.   And tea with lemon.  And toasts.   The green thing is a plant called “Morning glory”.

My husband got an extra bottle of jam on house. Pleasure)  Аnd his Pad Thai is on it’s way .

We are full.  It was very tasty. This girl is called Nee.  She learns English and she is very pleasant to talk with.

This guy was just perfect for a picture)

Moving further. Going on the bridge.

It is getting really hot.

This is a picture of their present king. They are everywhere here actually. Queens and Kings are really respected here a lot.  As they do people a lot of good. Every evening at 6 pm a national song is played on the radio.  The king got his own flag.  The yellow one.

And here is the Queen. Her color is blue.

We are getting closer to the King’s palace. They are watering the grass and so… We decided to take the advantage!

Feels so good!

Oh again I got my hair wet all over!

Now I am going to get in all alone as my husband has no desire to go there.

I can get in only with covered shoulders… So I have to put on something.

The tickets are a little bit expensive. But it is worth it!

It is just amazing in here! I walk slowly without any haste!

It is wonderful that I am all alone. In group you have no choice to look at everything properly.

This roof is so beautiful!

I got in … A pity I am not allowed to take pictures here.  But I can seat there enjoying the cool air… I got totally absorbed in my dreams and didn’t notice the crowd of monks coming in so I had to hurry back.

Still walking around various roofs!

In this palace they even have a small Angkor Vat.

I just love taking pictures of their roofs!

And here is the King’s palace itself!)

I am just walking through all that lovely buildings.

Some people are tired and took a break to read)

The Buddha!

Walking I ran into a Russian group with a guide! I got actually nothing. The guide’s Russian was beyond understanding!

Had an opportunity to drink cold water.  And I took it.  Tasty.  Really.

Everywhere they keep repairing various  stuff.

Oh my I have been walking for three hours! My husband must be dying waiting for me! So I hurry to him…

There he is! So lonely (

He is not sulky! Hooray! My legs are tired so I have to rest on the grass.

And my husband needs to do exercises .

It is about 16.p.m. So we continue walking.

These people are friendly. We needed to find some local bank.

A tidy place!

This is the road of all travelers!

Going across the road. The stream is fine and all the drivers are really polite!

On our way I couldn’t help taking a picture of my favorite bush! The scent is so amazing. You can’t just pass by! Smells like oranges or something!

Another beautiful place! Can’t stop taking pictures! Sorry!)

We got to our destination! And it was a mountain! From this place the sunset looks just wonderful! You know we love the Sun so.. This is our favorite place!

At the entrance this golden boy is placed.  Looks wise!

We are rushing upstairs and so we are on the top! 318 stairs is nothing!)

The bells are ringing so peacefully!

The Sun is getting lower and everything looks amazing!

The clouds are getting pink! Lovely!

The sky is so special today!

One can watch endlessly! No matter where we are now we always try to find the best place to see a sunset!

A lot of people came here too.

It is a pity that our camera can’t show the whole beauty of the evening(

The Sun is gone and the church is closing. On our way back we met this funny fellow!

Settled on the grass near the mountain and keep looking at the sky. Looks like an unreal one!

The time is 7:15 pm.

Decided to visit the supermarket. This company is really popular here.

My husband got some chocolate milk.  I don’t like it.  My mom used to force me to drink it. Brrr!

Here they sell colorful lamps! So cute!

Here the have life music! So we settled in this place to have our supper. Great!

My supper looks funny. A portion of rice shaped in heart and green karri ( my favorite dish here ).

Got a lot of pleasure from the life guitar music and headed back home. We have to work…

Back at home! Wi-fi works! Chatted with our friends by Skype and ICQ. Decided to watch a cartoon before sleeping)
So it is midnight and the new day has come. We hope it will be creative and bright.

I hope you felt like at home with us) Good luck to all ! Bye!
