2010年4月17日，在结古镇扎西大通路西侧的山坡上，20岁的贡嘎正在安慰哭泣的妻子卓嘎，卓嘎的姨娘在4.14地震中遇难，按照当地习俗，卓嘎姨娘的遗体连同遇难者遗体火化。

加沙抗议 Gaza protest

2010年5月31日，以色列驻希腊大使馆外，在以军一次致命的军事行动后抗议的人。

Police drag a man during a violent protest outside the Israeli embassy in Athens on May 31, 2010, following a deadly Israel military raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla of aid ships. Nine people were killed by Israeli commandos when they stormed a ship which was part of a flotilla of six ships, including Turkish and a Greek one and carrying 1,000 tonnes of aid from Cyprus to the Gaza Strip, Palestine. The military strike happened about 40 miles (64 km) out to sea, in international waters. Israel says its soldiers were shot at and attacked with weapons, the activists onboard the aid ship say Israeli troops came on board shooting. Around 600 activists on board the ships were attempting to defy a blockade imposed by Israel after Political party Hamas took power in Gaza in 2007.

An anti-government protester 'Red Shirt' throws a tire toward a burned truck as the violence in central Bangkok continues in Bangkok, Thailand on May 16, 2010. So far at least 154 have been injured and over 20 killed in the clashes as the military and the government launched an operation to disperse anti-government protesters who have closed parts of the city for two months. A state of emergency is in effect that spreads to 17 provinces in the country. The Thai army declared certain protest areas where clashes are taking place as a 'Live Fire Zone.'

国内超高压线路首次实现直升机带电作业

Domestic EHV line first realizing to do helicopter charged work

2010年4月12日下午2时许，武汉市蔡甸区柏林镇郊，在两座50万伏的超高压线路的铁塔间，一名线路维修工人乘坐在一驾直升机起落架的平台上，升于60米高空。工人随着直升机穿行高压线间，抓住没有停电的50万伏的高压线，完成一系列的带电作业。这是国内首次应用直升机超高压带电作业，填补国内技术空白，也标志我国带电作业技术达到国际领先水平。据介绍，目前全球只有美国、加拿大、澳大利亚等少数国家能开展此项带电作业，并使其成为电力线路检修和处置缺陷的常用手段。

赵作海：2010年5月9日，“杀害”同村人在监狱已服刑多年的河南商丘村民赵作海，因“被害人”赵振裳的突然回家，被宣告无罪释放，河南省有关方面同时启动责任追究机制。2010年 5月9日上午，河南高级人民法院召开新闻发布会，向社会通报赵作海案件的再审情况，认定赵作海故意杀人案系一起错案。河南省高院于2010年5月8日作出再审判决：撤销省法院复核裁定和商丘中院判决，宣告赵作海无罪。立即派人赶赴监狱，释放赵作海，并安排好其出狱后的生活。2010年5月17日上午，赵作海领到国家赔偿金和困难补助费65万元，并表示对赔偿满意，要开始新生活。

这是2010年7月29日拍摄的36岁的硫酸受害者Sokreun Mean。

Sokreun Mean, 36, poses for photos on July 29, 2010. She was attacked outside her home with a large quantity of acid causing blindness and severe disfiguration to her face. She has been operated on over 20 times. Sokreun was divorced, but the estranged wife of her husband became jealous and attacked her. Acid violence is a form of premeditated violence usually committed against women. The UN and other human rights organizations have issued reports for years on many forms of violence against women which involve domestic violence, rape, and honor killings.The act rarely kills but causes severe physical, psychological and social scarring, often in countries where rehabilitation is either extremely expensive or simply unavailable. A culture of impunity surrounds the crime where the majority of offenders escape trial and conviction. A large number of cases fail to be reported due to fear of retaliation or because of intimidation. Since the acid disfigures, tortures and often blinds an individual, victims often suffer from depression, loss of self esteem and suicidal tendencies.

People try to fetch the goods and materials that tributed to them on Aug. 7, 2010. The 2010 Pakistan floods began in July 2010 following heavy monsoon rains. The floods left nearly 2000 dead and caused heavy destruction to property and infrastructure.

红衫军示威 Bangkok Burning

2010年5月19日，泰国曼谷中央世界商厦前因骚乱破损的国旗和雕像。“红衫军”2010年3月至5月在曼谷举行大规模集会，要求阿披实政府提前解散议会并举行大选。

From March to May 2010, a prolonged series of political protests occurred in Bangkok, Thailand. Repeated negotiations between the anti-government ‘Red Shirt’ protesters and the government failed to set an election date. In April the ‘Red Shirts’ seized the most popular shopping district in the capital. On May 19, 2010 the Army was sent in to clear their encampment. By the time it was all over, thousands were left injured, over 80 killed and Bangkok was left burning.

火车车厢坠江 Train coaches fall river

2010年8月19日15时15分许，宝成铁路德阳至广汉间石亭江铁路大桥被洪水冲断，一列从西安开往昆明的K165次火车第15、16号车厢掉进石亭江。车上1300名人员全部安全转移，宝成铁路下行在广汉境内暂时中断。当晚10点多记者赶到现场，该列车分成了两段，其中一节车厢悬空摇摇欲坠。

墨西哥湾原油泄漏事故

Gulf Oil Spill

2010年春夏，墨西哥湾发生石油泄漏事故，至少400万桶原油从英国石油公司的深海钻井台流入海中。尽管进行了油污清除工作，但是大量的油污仍然扩散到峰值68000平方英里的海域中。数不清的海洋生物、野生动物和该地区居民的生计都将被影响数年。

This group of photographs shows scenes of the Gulf of Mexico in the spring and summer of 2010, when at least four million barrels of crude spilled from the BP-Deepwarter Horizon wellhead. Despite the cleanup efforts, the flow of oil spread across an area of 68,000 square miles of water surface at its peak and impacted an untold number of marine life, wildlife and the livelihoods of regional residents for years to come.
