Making my voice heard

In all time before now and in all time to come, there has never been and will never be anyone just like me. I am unique in the entire history and the only one in the sea of infinity.

You are a miracle, said my parents. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you, your legs, your arms, your clever fingers and the way you move.

From infant to young adult, time flies and I have grown up. But the only thing that remains shining is my belief, that I am different from anybody else, that no one can ever replace me in the world, that one day I will make my voice heard.

I will strive to be a pioneer, a leader, a kind of people who, even facing adversity, will continue to embrace life and walk fearlessly towards the challenge.

I have been to the orphan to play with those deserted children. I tell them stories and play with them on the lawn. I love to see them running freely here and there, wearing the innocent smile on their faces. When I told them a fairy tale they asked me, “Why the prince and princess always live a happy life in the end?” “Because that is in the fairy tale”, I explained. “We may build an ideal world full of sweet and happiness, but that is simply just dreams. And people can only make dreams come true, but can not expect life to be satisfactory forever. Tales are different from reality. ”The nurses there said to me, “Thank you. You not only accompany them and tell them stories, but also explain something that we dare not talk with them about.”“They will know the happiness and sorrow of the world sooner or later. It doesn’t matter who tells them about that. What does matter is how they perform to face their life with bravery and passion. And I am glad that they listen to my words and they will gradually make out what I mean.

I have stood in front of the whole school, presenting myself and asking for their support. I have proclaimed that I will work for them and try my best to make our school life better. I have attended public election of our class and our school. I have organized debates and outings. I have making friends with all kinds of people. I have argued with my teachers and classmates on academic problems. I have been doing all of these for my dream, that I will be a truth seeker and a chief of my domain whatever it’s my home, my class and my family----- with a loving heart.

I dream of being a Shakespear, a Beethoven, any celebrity that is well known to the world. But the most important is that I dream of being myself, the unique one in the universe. As Samuel Erman once wrote in his poem: “Youth is not a time of life. It's a state of mind. It's not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It's a matter of the will, a quality of imagination, a vigor of emotion. It's the freshness of the deep spring of life.” It doesn't matter what we've been through, where we come from, who our parents are, nor our social or economic status. Yes, none of that matters. What matters is how we choose to express the love through work, through family, through what we have to give to the world.

I am and I will be unique and brave to make my voice heard.
