In a group of four, share their ideas, then sum up the common ideas in learning English. Every group asks one to report their own ideas. Then in class, teacher collects the ways in proving English in common.

Step 6 Game “Circle Story”

Teacher gives some key words, like: the host, enter, on stage, native, winner, modest, interested, encourages, make progress, besides, make friends with….. and gives the beginning of the  reading, like: China will be the host for the 2008 Olympics…

Ss say something with the words or use their own words one by one, and the next one must follow the last one, and make a circle. See how many Ss we need to finish the reading. Of course, with the books closed.

Step 7 Writing

Give them some time to write down the story they just told, or use their own words to retell the reading. Begin with: China will be the host for the 2008 Olympics…

After doing that, let some read theirs, share their writing in class. Others give comments.
