Hi guys,
You’ve arrived. You’ve read the book The Mystery Method, you’ve read the bonus chapter, and you’ve followed along with the first seven bonus content emails (if you missed any, please let us know at angel@TheMysteryMethod.com). Now it’s time to wrap it all up and look at your next steps on the path of being a master venusian artists.
From doing this for years and having been part of the development of some of the world’s best pickup artists, I have come up with a few general rules to follow that will speed up your development dramatically. Some of these will seem obvious. Others are restatements of things I’ve written in this email series. But they’re important enough that they deserve to be internalized:
As Mystery said, meeting and attracting women “should enrich your life, not define it.” Part of what women are attracted to is a man who has an exciting lifestyle, and this takes work. You can get by for a while on routines and tactics, but higher-quality women are has a lot going for him, and creating an exciting lifestyle is an important part of this.
Conversely, realize that mastering The Mystery Method takes time. You should approach at least 5 women you don’t know every day, until you’ve gotten enough practice to be truly comfortable. This might take a couple months, and your approaches plus learning from the book and other resources available to you can be time-consuming. There may be things that you need to cut out of your life in order to enjoy the success with women that you want. I don’t know your lifestyle, but typically, people spend a lot of time watching TV or, especially, surfing the internet. If pornography is part of your life, drop it. It makes men stare at women, which will kill your game, and remove some of the impetus to go out and meet real women.
Don’t play it safe. Be willing to fail. I explain in Chapter 22 of Magic Bullets why a phone number is often an admission of failure. Take risks. Approach more beautiful women or more difficult groups than you otherwise would. Push harder and faster, and make women reject you. It’s the only way you’ll learn quickly. You accomplish nothing other than a big of ego-validation by getting phone numbers from average women.
Keep studying the material. The book can be re-read several times and yield new insights each time, particularly after you’ve been approaching women frequently and start to understand the social matrix. Magic Bullets is the same way, but probably even more so, since it is more up-to-date and has much more material and real-life examples.
Speaking of Magic Bullets, one of the things that it has are chapters on different social contexts (“day game”, social circle, strip clubs), as well as different skills (body language, winging, phone game, etc.). The social contexts are only important if you plan to meet women outside of bars and nightclubs – in which case they are crucially important – but the skills are vital, whatever your relationship goals. You can get quick insights into these chapters by checking out the Magic Bullets page.
A couple of specific insights that I want to bring out:
The Mystery Method works regardless of your looks. But it’s silly to pretend that looks don’t help. Fortunately, for men, how good you look to a woman is based more on how you dress than on what you look like naked. That’s why Chapter 20 of Magic Bullets goes into pages of fashion tips – not clothes that will make you like you walked out of a magazine, but clothes that are genuinely interesting and attractive to women. We also have some before and after photos of one of instructors, the infamous Masters. Quick tip: what is functional (regular clothes) is not sexy. What is ornamental (jewelry, interesting shoes, jackets, belts, etc) is sexy, in moderation.
Often you won’t get the girl on the first night (or day). That’s why Phone Game (Chapter 22) is so important. How you get a phone number plays a big role in whether she’ll answer and whether she’ll see you again. We cover that in detail. Quick tips: Call the next day. Start quickly with new attraction material. Make the first call at least 10 minutes. Get off the phone first. Don’t push for plans.
If you don’t get the girl on the first night, you’ll usually have to go on a date with her. (Dates are covered in chapter 19). The dinner-and-a-movie date is death. We ranked our best and worst common dates and explain why. Quick tip: Comedy clubs are almost always great dates.
So, where do you go from here, now that you’ve “graduated”?
One of the first things you should do is get a good wingman. Lend a friend your copy of the book. Or better still, let your friends see how good your game has become and all the results you’re able to get. If you don’t have friends who you want to go out with, find a wingman on the meet-up section of The Attraction Forum. Chapter 19 of Magic Bullets explains how to use wingman tactics to help each other’s game.
Keep notes of what you’ve done and what happened. This will not only help you see the progress you are making, but the very act of writing down and analyzing what happened will help you make breakthroughs. The Forum has a section for “Field Reports” where you can post your own reports of what you did and what happened, and learn from others. When your reports are interesting or insightful enough, other people – sometimes even instructors with The Mystery Method – will comment and give you advice.
