英语语言中动词表达的重要性就尤如一个人的心脏。学生在英语学习中出现的困惑：词不达意，用汉语思考。究其原因就是在动词的表达上出现了问题。因此就有了“玩转动词，笑傲江湖”之说，初中阶段的英语动词不外乎就三种：时态、语态和非谓语动词。下面就这三类动词作简要说明：
一、动词的时态：动词的时态是与时间状语密切联系的，下面就几种主要时态的时间状语以及动词的形式归纳如下：
一般现在时

中考之“玩转”动词（二）
动词的时态除了有时间状语以外，还要注意句子的呼应问题，即：并列句中的动词前后一致，复合句中的主从句时态呼应（特别值得注意的联词有：if 、until 、as soon as、since、 when），问与答时态一致等。
二、动词的主动语态和被动语态：被动语态只须注意两点：一是be的各种形式，二是任何一种被动语态都是主动语态的时态结构加被动语态结构的完美结合。下面以tell为例列出了初中阶段各种动词的被动语态：
