据新华社电 记者从厦门海关缉私局和厦门市人民检察院获悉，赖昌星走私犯罪集团首要犯罪嫌疑人赖昌星涉嫌走私、行贿犯罪一案已依法侦查终结，于近日移送厦门市人民检察院公诉部门审查起诉。厦门市人民检察院已依法受理此案。

据悉，7月23日赖昌星被遣返回国后，厦门海关缉私局依法对其执行逮捕。海关缉私部门和检察机关反贪部门依法对其涉嫌走私普通货物罪和行贿犯罪开展侦查。经查证，1996年至1999年，赖昌星走私犯罪集团在厦门关区大肆走私香烟、汽车、成品油、植物油、化工原料、各种设备及其他货物，赖昌星本人或指使、授意他人向数十名国家工作人员行贿，涉案金额巨大。赖昌星本人及其他犯罪集团骨干成员对涉嫌走私、行贿犯罪事实供认不讳。

记者了解到，侦查工作中，海关缉私部门和检察机关反贪部门坚持依法、公正、文明办案，充分保障犯罪嫌疑人赖昌星及其他涉案人的合法权益，对赖昌星聘请、会见律师等依法提供条件和做出安排。
