革命就会有流血牺牲，无数先烈用鲜血浇灌了胜利的果实，才换得今天的和平与安宁。

在中国共产党领导的革命运动中，不计其数的家庭作出了牺牲，这其中包括毛泽东，毛家先后有10多位亲属为革命献出了生命。

夫妻情

1930年11月14日，杨开慧在长沙被杀害。在江西指挥红军反“围剿”的毛泽东得知噩耗后，寄信给杨家人说：“开慧之死，百身莫赎。”解放后，毛泽东仍常常怀念杨开慧。1957年，他给故人柳直荀的遗孀李淑一回信时，写下了《蝶恋花·答李淑一》，第一句就是“我失骄杨君失柳”。对女子的称呼本应用“娇”字，章士钊曾问“骄杨”当作何解，毛泽东说：“女子为革命而丧其元(头)，焉得不骄？”

海枯石烂亦不悔

“我觉得我为母亲所生之外，就是为了他。假设有一天母亲不在了，他被人捉住了，我要去跟着他同享一个命运。”1983年，在毛泽东妻子杨开慧牺牲50多年后，人们在她长沙板仓老家住所的墙缝里发现了这些笔记。而她也践行了自己的誓言，于1930年为革命、为丈夫献出了年仅29岁的生命。

1918年，杨昌济到北京大学任教，杨开慧随父亲来到北京。这时，因组织赴法勤工俭学，毛泽东也到了北京，被李大钊聘为北京大学图书馆管理员。在毛泽东帮助下，杨开慧阅读了大量进步刊物，开阔了眼界。后来，杨开慧回忆说：“自从听到他许多事，看了他许多文章、日记，我就爱了他。”

1920年冬，毛泽东和杨开慧结合。1922年初，杨开慧加入中国共产党。从此，她不但是毛泽东生活上的好伴侣，也是他革命事业上的好助手，跟随毛泽东辗转各地参加革命运动。大革命失败后，杨开慧带着孩子回到长沙板仓开展地下斗争，组织领导了多地的武装斗争，1930年10月不幸被捕，8岁的大儿子毛岸英也被一同抓进监狱。

在狱中，杨开慧受尽酷刑始终不屈服，敌人要她公开宣布与毛泽东脱离夫妻关系，她斩钉截铁地回答，除非“海枯石烂”，不久英勇就义。
