核心提示：叶永烈在《江青画传》一书中写道：“9月8日子夜，毛泽东气息微弱。当9月9日零时刚过，才10分钟，毛泽东停止了呼吸。张玉凤奔出主席卧室，疾步走向毛主席书房，向守候在那里的华国锋、王洪文、张春桥、汪东兴报告噩耗。不过一箭之遥的江青，得到报告，马上奔了过来。后来，姚文元曾经这样描述他在现场的所见：“她头发散乱，神情慌张，进门便扑在主席遗体上，一面痛哭，一面呼喊：'医生啊！你们快救救主席呵！你们为什么不救救他呀！'她嗓子都哑了，仍不肯离去。其悲痛之状，催人泪下。姚文元所述应该是真实的。不管怎么说，江青跟毛泽东从1938年结合，到1976年毕竟有着38年的夫妻感情。”我认为，叶永烈的话说得很到位。

2007年7月，我看到一篇文章，说毛泽东与江青结婚是：“爱恨交加失败选择。”我不同意这种看法。

1938年11月20日，毛泽东与江青在延安结婚。毛泽东的选择是正确的，还是失败的，请看以下事实：

在进步思想的影响和熏陶下，江青于1933年2月，在青岛市由地下党员、时任中共青岛市委宣传部长黄敬介绍加入了中国共产党。同年7月，黄敬因叛徒出卖被捕，江青随即失去了与组织的联系。于是，她奔赴上海寻找党的组织。到上海后，她以演话剧、演电影、教学、写文章等形式，为提高妇女地位，争取妇女解放，反对帝国主义侵略，做了一些有益的工作。从总的方面讲，这一时期江青是一个爱国的、革命的、进步的青年。

1937年7月，江青已经是明星了，但她仍然从生活安逸的大上海，来到条件十分艰苦且很不安定、很不安全的延安。这一行动，不具备一定的政治思想觉悟，是很难做到的。这进一步表现了她的革命性和进步性。当时，江青走的道路，也是许多革命和进步的青年共同走过的正确道路。

江青在延安的10年，作风谦虚谨慎，生活艰苦朴素，表现也是好的。她还到南泥湾参加过劳动，同8位女同志同住一个窑洞，同睡一个硬炕。

美国作家特里尔所著的《江青全传》中说：“在毛泽东与西方来访者交谈时，江青几乎从不发话……江青看上去非常漂亮，是一个年轻温柔的女人……江青照顾毛泽东的身体、日常工作、洗衣做饭，帮助买东西，打扫房间。她不喜欢吃辛辣的食物，但毛泽东喜欢，所以毛家的每一顿饭都有辣味菜。她很直率，也很谦虚，从各方面看，她的感情很丰富，是一位贤惠的妻子，温柔的母亲。”

2005年春天，我参加一个活动，见到了在延安时任中央警备团手枪连连长的高富有老前辈。我问他江青在延安时的表现如何，高老说：“那个时候，江青的表现很不错，对毛主席的生活很关心，对主席的吃喝拉撒睡安排得很细致、很周到，真正尽到了一个做妻子的责任。毛主席、周总理、任弼时等中央领导转战陕北时，别的中央领导的妻子都过了黄河，到了比较安全的地方，只有江青留在陕北，跟着毛主席与数倍于我军的敌军周旋，为了毛主席的生活跑前跑后，很不容易。新中国成立以后到'文化大革命'以前，她一直表现比较好，'文革'开始以后，她才起了一些变化。”

在我看来，江青对毛主席一直都很崇拜、尊重并充满感情。她给毛主席写信、谈话或在会议上发言，从来不称呼“毛泽东”或“润之”，总是称呼“主席主席”的。她经常说：“我是主席的学生、哨兵。”“文革”期间，每年的12月26日（毛主席的生日），她从未忘记。那天精神也特别好，非常兴奋，主动邀请身边的工作人员同她一起吃长寿面，并对大家说：“咱们一起祝主席生日快乐，身体健康！”

据我所知，江青被捕后，在身体日趋虚弱的时候更常常想起主席。她身边放着主席的手迹，衣服上别着主席的像章，床头上放着一张与毛主席在中南海晨起散步的照片。每天清晨，当新的一天开始时，她都背诵主席的诗词，或阅读《毛泽东选集》。清明节到来的时候，她要求到毛主席纪念堂，给主席送一个花圈。

江青有以上这些表现，主席选择她为妻，怎么能说是失败的选择呢？我认为不是。
