A: Hello, Mr. James, please have a seat. Thank you for coming today, I have read your resume. You got a degree from Peking University?

B: Yes, after graduation, I started right away into the construction industry.

A: Well, as you know, we’ve already had over seventy applicants for this position. What sets you apart from other candidates?

B: Well, I think what sets me apart from other candidates is that I have experience in intercultural communication.

A: You are a very confident man, but I really am sorry that we can’t offer you the job.

B: No, but today is your birthday. I made dinner for you.

A: Oh, you are so sweet. But, you know getting a double wage for working overtime somewhat can give me a comfort, after all we are broke.

B: What about that I come and pick you up at 9 pm, then let’s go to movies. I really don’t want your job to ruin your birthday. 

A: Sounds perfect. Jenny is also working overtime, but she doesn’t get paid for working overtime. I guess she must be very mad.

B: I really hope she can get overtime pay.
