著名的电视动画Dora系列里，我们不时会看到一个小男孩的身影，他就是Dora的表兄Diego迪亚哥。
Diego是一个8岁的男孩，他热爱大自然和动物。Diego的使命就是帮助解决动物的困境。孩子们可以跟随Diego运用计算机、照相机、望远镜、滑翔机、视频手表等现代化工具，参加一次次援救动物的冒险行动。
每个故事情节都遵循一定的认识过程：发现某种动物、了解这种动物的基本情况、分辩不同动物的特性和特征、动物需要什么样的居住环境等。
Go Diego Go!系列故事简单、有特定的模式和配以节奏欢快的歌曲，让孩子们轻松愉快的跟随主人公探险。不同的是，Go Diego Go！系列的主题是生态自然环境保护，每个故事都能让孩子们了解一种动物。在冒险过程中使用了一些现代科学工具，当然Diego背包里的宝贝与Dora的相比也升级换代了。故事的节奏也加快了些，动感更强。
