Christmas is the most important holiday in much of the world because Christianity has a large influence in the Western Hemisphere.  There are stories and symbols associated with the holiday such as the legend of Santa Claus.  This legend tells of a man from the North Pole named Santa who rides a sled pulled by magical reindeer every Christmas Eve and drops down people’s chimneys to put gifts under the Christmas trees and inside stockings that are hung up by the fireplace.  Christmas is quite a musical holiday, and all through the month of December one can hear X’mas songs and carols being played and sung in shops, homes, and offices.  A white Christmas refers to a Christmas morning with snow on the ground. The Christmas tree is a tradition that is associated with the celebration of Christmas.  It is a real or artificial evergreen tree that is decorated with lights and ornaments and is usually placed in the family room of the house in the days leading up to Christmas up through the actual day of celebration.

This is a hand-drawn picture of a Christmas tree.  It shows all of the requisite parts of a fully decorated Xmas tree, with gold tinsel garland wrapping around, pink orb-shaped ornaments, multi-colored lights, and the star at the top which represents the Star of Bethlehem which is believed to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ.

Before Christmas presents are placed underneath the Christmas tree and are opened in a gift-opening event sometime during the big day.  This is a photograph of a Christmas tree between two wooden pillars.  Underneath the large tree are gifts.  Some are wrapped while others such as the wooden horse are not.  Instead of the typical ball shaped ornaments, this tree has silver triangular ornaments that look like giant Hershey’s Kisses.  There are also gold ribbons tied around the branches, which is quite a rare sight.  At the top of this tree is an angel figure, which often can be seen at the top of a Xmas tree instead of a star.

This is a bare, undecorated tree.  It is a pine tree, which is an evergreen tree.  That means it stays green all year round, even in the coldest areas of the world.  The evergreen tree symbolizes strength and perseverance and is characterized by needlelike leaves.  It is typically cone shaped, with a wide base and a pointy top.  It reproduces with pine cones, which are the brown rough objects that are shaped like balls.

This is a unique and stylish rendition of a fully decorated Christmas tree.  It is loaded with green, pink, yellow, and orange lights, pink stars, and sparkly red ornaments.  The red ornaments traditionally represent apples, which point to the story of Adam and Eve.  At the top of the tree is a strange looking star that has tendrils reaching out in all directions.

This is quite a surreal picture.  It shows a tree completely decked out in Xmas lights in the middle of a desolate and snowy forest.  The decorated tree was obviously edited into the picture using a program such as Photoshop, as indicated by the strange lighting under the tree, and the fact that there is no electrical source in the wilderness.

We’re looking at another hand drawn and colorful picture of a Christmas tree.  It is almost identical to the first one, but a bit more cartoonish.  This one has fewer lights and more colors for ornaments, and red garland.  There are also candy canes on this one.

Whoa, talk about weird, this tree takes the cake for weird images!  It’s an upside down tree that seems to defy the laws of physics.  What is keeping this tree up?  That must be a strong branch down at the base.  The chair and the red background just add to the creepiness of this imagery.  Overall, it’s quite a piece of art.

This photo shows a Xmas tree during a white Christmas.  Some people choose to decorate trees that are outdoors.  This saves the trouble of having to cut down and transport the tree into your house.  It also allows for a beautiful snow-frosted image such as this one.

Christmas trees look even more beautiful when the surrounding lights are off, as shown in the ninth picture.  The dim lighting serves to highlight the beauty of the Christmas lights and the reflection of those lights off of the ornaments.  This festive family has loaded the Christmas tree with all kinds of decorations, and has placed the base full of presents already.

In a certain family’s family room sits an exceptionally bright and unique tree.  It is completely saturated with lights, ornaments, and has a cylindrical light at the top.  The tree is so decorated that none of the tree’s leaves are exposed, as they are all covered.  It looks as if the ornaments themselves make up the tree’s leaves and branches.

Before a tree becomes a Christmas tree, it’s just like any other tree growing out in the wild.  All across the world in places such as America exist tree farms where people such as this couple can go to pick a out a Christmas tree to take home and decorate it.  These two seem to be eyeing a smaller tree and might be getting ready to chop it down.

Behold, the world’s most expensive Christmas tree.  It seems that nowadays, people will do anything to become famous, and here is a prime example of that.  It also seems that this gold and diamond tree represents the growing commercialization of Christmas in the form of cards, presents, movies, trees, decorations, and special Christmas sales.
