核心提示：刘伯承有6个子女，孩子们享受的父爱，只有两个字——“严厉”！1962年，刘伯承看到教育部一则关于高等学校的调查，他马上写信给儿子刘太行说：“这次调查，成绩优良者10人，8个是高级知识分子的子女，一个是农民之子，一个是右派之子，而干部子弟一个也没有……要警觉，干部子弟生活优裕，自由散漫，看不起人，认为学习没有意思，自甘落后，这必须大力教育……”在这封信中，刘伯承还询问儿子：“谦虚谨慎的学习习惯在修养否？”

刘伯承元帅19岁离家后再没有回来。但家乡人深深景仰他，敬爱他。在开县，关于他的成长背景，他的性格特征及传奇生涯，大多数乡人都能说出一二。老年人在茶馆里讲，年轻人在博客上说。在故居和纪念馆周围，差不多人人都是解说员。令人惊讶的是，记者回头翻看党史、军史及邓小平题写书名的《刘伯承传》，乡人所说，与史实几乎完全一致。

7月6日晨，从开县宾馆雇一三轮车来到刘帅故居前，时间还早，这里还没有开门。幸好，这里有位东北老乡，名叫陈胜明的。

他是哈尔滨人，因妻子是开县人，所以来此落户，并在纪念馆工作。他破例提前打开了大门。

刘帅故居与开县赵家镇隔河相望，距县城28公里。故居占地面积8.65亩。坐落在风光旖旎的小华山下周都村，为翠竹层层环抱。门前的浦里河沿山脚奔流向前，浩荡流入长江。这种开阔的气势，让人联想到元帅的“战神”性格。

故居建筑是一栋青瓦土墙的三合院，属晚清川东一带的普通农舍。故居的正堂屋大门上方，挂着邓小平亲笔题写的“刘伯承同志故居”大匾。

1892年12月4日，刘伯承就诞生在这里。他在这里生活了14个春秋，直到1911年离家从戎投身辛亥革命。

故居内现藏有文物35件，其中11件文物及当年使用的书籍、物品复制件，分布在元帅少年时代居住过的卧室、父母居室、灶房及堂屋。这些原状陈列真实地再现了刘伯承1892-1911年期间的生活状态。

故居门前，有个食杂店兼小茶馆。三五老人已在这里开始了四川人每天的必修课———吃早茶。老人们的方言，北方人难以听懂。陈胜明做翻译，方便多了。

一刘姓老人说：“我和元帅是同族，他呀，心中装着的只有我们国家，加上新中国成立后身体不好，他19岁离开这里后，再也没有回来。想家乡了，他就派儿子女儿回来看，然后，回去向他汇报。”
