I locate it funny when guys complain about women's magazines. (Particularly the high-fashion ones.) They find it peculiar that the 1st 60 pages if just filled with glossy advertisements. Yes, gentlemen that's the very best element with the magazine. A minimum of for me anyway. Not only do they inspire you to pull together some terrific outfits, but in other places of your artistic life as properly. Such as decor inspiration, jewelry making inspiration as well as with photography shoots. You flip through the glossy Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, and weird Marc Jacobs ads wishing you could be transported! One of the most iconic of ads though, have been produced by the great fashion house of Louis Vuitton. (Now owned by company LVMH)
Old VS. New

Here I'd like to do a time comparison of Louis vuitton outlet ads. Old-world vs. Modern. It is such a fun way to combine history and fashion (two of my all time preferred items!)

I enjoy the iconic looks from the vintage ads. Yes, they're a tad plainer with less "jazz" (and sex) but I really like the classiness nonetheless! They placed greater emphasis on tradition, timelessness and above all, high quality. That is miles away from what it really is these days under LVMH. Nowadays, Louis Vuitton bags are no longer handmade or hand stitched, unlike Hermes, which remains private.

Their ads had been recently banned by the British Advertising Standards Agency for misleading customers. The ads had pictures of a girl sewing with linen thread and beeswax (jeez!), which was deemed misleading because LV now makes use of sewing machines. They did confess nevertheless that "sewing machines are used inside the process but that the production from the bags was 'not automated' and that there had been over 100 stages within the creating of each bag." (Source: UK Everyday Mail) Either way, take a appear in the stark differences of emphasis between the old and new!
