严寒和大雪连日袭击欧洲。截至4日，欧洲各国共计确认冻死超过260人。3日前往亚霍里纳山出席会议的塞尔维亚总统塔迪奇和克罗地亚总统约西波维奇被大雪围困，直到4日才得以下山回国。

乌克兰

122人确认冻死

乌克兰气象部门4日报道，部分地区最低气温降至零下38.1摄氏度。

紧急情况部门当天公开的死亡人数显示，过去一星期内，确认冻死122人，其中78人冻死街头。这一冻死人数为“欧洲之最”。

另外，大约1600人因体温过低或冻伤入院接受治疗。

尽管紧急情况部门在全国范围内设立数百个临时帐篷，提供食物、饮水和避难所，但在首都基辅，一些无家可归者仍被迫选择地铁站躲避严寒。

同时，大雪和低温迫使当局暂时关闭学校，部分公交线路中断。

在邻国波兰，东北部一些地区气温低至零下32摄氏度。与乌克兰情况相似，45名遇难者中，多数人是无处避寒的流浪者。

意大利

冰冻“水城”威尼斯

冬季温暖的阳光是许多人对罗马的记忆。但今年，罗马迎来近30年不遇的大雪。

4日当天，罗马一些区域积雪厚度达20厘米，包括科洛西姆圆形竞技场在内的多处旅游景点都因被大雪覆盖而暂停开放。

罗马市政当局派发大约4000把铁铲，以便民众清理露天广场和街道积雪。

市长詹尼·阿莱曼诺4日说，市政大楼6日或因大雪关闭。他呼吁更多市民帮助城市清雪。

另外，低温使“水城”威尼斯的部分水道结冰。

在意大利中部和南部，大雪导致当地电力供应中断，大约16万人受影响。意大利国家电力公司说，已派出1000名员工修理受损电力线路。

波黑

雪厚1米交通中断

波黑政府4日宣布首都萨拉热窝进入紧急状态。萨拉热窝4日降雪厚度超过1米，道路和公共交通中断，数百名路人半路被困在大雪中。

一些市民报告缺水，一些人挣扎着前往商店购买食物。不少人说，他们在商店亲眼见到，有人为几片面包而大打出手。

“难以置信，我不记得过去30年内下过这样的大雪，”市民米尔萨达·米特罗维奇说，“可能当我还是个小孩的时候（有过大雪），但打那以后再没有类似这样（的大雪）。”不过，应对大雪危机却让人与人之间迸发友情。

萨拉热窝中部一个地区，一些当地女性给在大街上铲雪的人送去热茶、咖啡、汉堡和烤肉丸。一名年迈的老者则站在自家窗口，吹起单簧管为他人加油。

在波黑，被困路途不仅包括数以百计的普通民众，还有塞尔维亚和克罗地亚两国总统。他们3日在萨拉热窝附近一处滑雪胜地参加完一场地区峰会后无法即刻离开。

欧洲多国

多座机场被迫关闭

尽管多国紧急情况部门迅速采取措施清理积雪，但欧洲东部和中部多座机场4日被迫关闭，航班和列车晚点，公路交通受阻。

在英国，首都伦敦希思罗机场5日取消三成航班，以应对头一晚降下的大雪和可能出现的冻雾天气。这一决定将可能影响大约400架次航班。

伦敦以北卢顿机场警告乘客，进出港航班将可能因天气而延误或取消。

荷兰首都阿姆斯特丹斯希普霍尔机场4日报告，数十架次航班已延迟或取消。
