天是24节气中的“小暑”，也是全国大部分地区盛夏的开始。连日以来，我国南北方都被卷入了滚滚的热浪当中，多数地区出现40度以上的高温，并迎来“桑拿天”。

文中的sauna weather就是我们平时说的“桑拿天”，sauna（桑拿浴）的感觉想必大家都知道，stiflinglyhot（非常闷热），因此sauna weather就是用来形容闷热难耐的天气，也称为sauna days。
本周一，北京市气象台发布了今年首个orange-codedheat alert（高温橙色预警），land surfacetemperature（地面温度）超过55摄氏度，power consumption（用电量）再达峰值。在这样的“大蒸笼”里，很多人出现了不适症状，大家要谨防heat stroke（中暑）。
