Literature circles were one of my favorite things about English class. They gave me a chance to freely share my opinions with other and receive in-depth feedback about my ideas and perceptions.

Literature circles are a great way to inspire conversation in your classroom. Some students are too intimidated to share their ideas with an entire classroom. Literature circles provide these students an opportunity to offer up their ideas to a smaller group of peers they feel comfortable around.
Another great thing about literature circles is that they are adaptable. You can take the idea of literature circle, twist it this way, bend it that way and form it to whatever reading you want.
