《Bridge over Troubled Water》，翻成汉语有好多的名字，最喜欢的是《浊水之桥》（以前一个喜欢听的音乐节目就叫这个名字），好象有这么个名字吧！
这张专集首发于1970年，在1994和2000年两度再版，在滚石选出的500张最强专辑中排名第51。当时Simon 和 Garfunkel 与其他组合经常会经历的一样，他们也正闹着矛盾，一个闹着要演电影，上银幕；一个自知相貌平平，只想安安心心做音乐。在制作Bridge over Troubled Water这首歌时，Simon就非常不满Garfunkel把这首歌弄成巴赫式的合唱的想法，太过华丽，拒绝给Garfunkel配和声，所以我们现在听到的就是Garfunkel的独唱。事隔若干年之后，Garfunkel仍然对Simon没有和他合唱Bridge Over Troubled Water而耿耿于怀，而Simon也亲口对滚石杂志的记者说，“很多次我都后悔没有那么做。”虽然如此，但它丝毫没影响这首歌成为他们最伟大的经典曲目，也没影响这张专集成为他们最伟大的专集。
在听Bridge over Troubled Water这首歌时，也挺容易让人想到国内的那首臧胖子的《朋友》，都是叙朋友之情，但藏胖子唱得总让人觉得这朋友之宜太沉重了，也太功利。
