     Movies have a way of both reflecting culture andshaping it at the same time. Nowhere is this truer than in moviesabout college. For years, wide eyed freshman have arrived on campusexpecting to see scenes reminiscent of those from their favoritecollege movies. They try to emulate them -– whether consciously orsubconsciously –- in an effort to live out those wild, debauchedtimes immortalized on film. They throw toga parties, they drunkenlydance in basements to “Shout” and they live life like they’reactors in some giant movie. That’s why we’ve gathered here today tocelebrate these twelve college movies. And since college is allabout education -– at least a little bit, anyway -– we figured itwould be a good idea to take a look at what we learned from eachone of these masterpieces.      The Plot: The quintessential career student and party animal wardsoff the evils of the real world through a series of never-endingparties with the help of his friends and his damn near sociopathicdevotion to having a good time. At least until the money ship stopssailing, he falls for an uptight girl and the realization thatcollege must end someday forces him to… grow up? Naaaaaah.
      典型的职校学生和派对控，在一连串无休止的派对里朋友间互相帮助，带着反社会的情绪取乐。直到一天他的父亲停止资助，他也爱上一个内向的姑娘，种种压力迫使他成长。

     What We Learned: That if you just smile and bullshit your waythrough life, everything will work out fine. Also, throwing partiesis spiritually rewarding and will eventually land you the girl ofyour dreams. Just like real life!
      观后感：如果只是及时行乐的生活，也能船到桥头自然直。然而，摒弃无休止的派对将会振奋精神，赢得梦中情人的芳心。开始脚踏实地的生活吧！

     The Plot: Everyone hates each other on the most militant collegecampus in the world, resulting in chaos, rape and despair. Fun forthe whole family!
      在世界上最激进的大学——哥伦比亚大学里，每个人都互相看不顺眼，打架斗殴、强奸、充斥绝望的情绪。

     What We Learned: College is basically the Middle East, only withmore gunfights, racial tension and date rapes.
     观后感：学校生源大部分来自中东，充斥着枪战、种族歧视和强奸。

     The Plot: A retarded dude channels years of abuse into primal rage,which he then uses to propel a backwards-ass hick school intocollege football glory. Also, he has an odd relationship with hismother. Oh, and he hates haughty professors.
     男主角由于有人际交往障碍，常常情绪失控，但却因为他的原始冲动助校橄榄球队大获全胜。与此同时，他与单亲母亲生活，并且讨厌他傲慢的教练。

     What We Learned: If you bully your team’s water boy he will latershow up inexplicably playing for your arch rival and rupture yourspleen. Also, going to class is for suckers. Just tackle yourprofessor and you’ll be fine.
      观后感：如果你欺负当茶水男孩的队友，稍后他会莫名其妙的和你们的劲敌打比赛，还有可能撞的你内出血。孬种才上课，只要能搞定教授就没关系。

9. Back toSchool 《大儿子小爸爸》

     The Plot: An old man realizes his life is bullshit and decides togo back to school in an effort to bond with his uptight dork of ason. Hijinks ensue.
      时过中年的男人意识到自己了荒废人生，决意重返学校，并努力缓解和儿子的紧张关系。展开一场嬉闹。

     What We Learned: If you’re trying to make your college’s swim teamit helps to know the Triple Lindy. Also, make friends with the richkid because there’s a chance his dad will show up and turn yourdorm room into a swank penthouse. Oh, and don’t mess with RodneyDangerfield.
      观后感：如果你想建立学校游泳队，得学会琳迪三人舞；想结交有钱孩子当朋友，他的爸爸会把你的宿舍变成吹牛屋。哦，还有，不要和Rodney Dangerfield搞坏关系。

     The Plot: A bunch of geeks work on a project at the behest of theasshole EPA agent from Ghostbusters. Unbeknownst to them, he hassome ulterior motives aside from their education. Oh, and ValKilmer teaches an ubernerd how to enjoy life and maybe, if he’slucky, get laid.
      在环保局代理处，有一群像出自《捉鬼特工队》做研究项目的书呆子们，他们并不知道，有人别有用心的利用他们做科研。Val Kilmer教一个书呆子如何享受生活，他要幸运的话就该下课。

     What We Learned: Don’t be so damn serious all the time. Have funonce in a while and if you’re a real genius then you should prankthe shit out of your uptight professor, preferably with somethinginvolving popcorn and Tears For Fears. I mean, come on, use thatgiant brain for something useful. Oh, and if a disembodied voicetells you stop masturbating, don’t freak out, it’s probably justyour friends messing with you. Either that or you’re having asevere psychotic episode. Or maybe that really is God telling youto quit playing with yourself. Who knows?
      观后感：不要总那么严肃。总要放松一会儿，用你恶作剧的灵感捉弄一下你那个严肃的教授，最好用爆米花和恐惧的眼泪。我是说，拜托，把大脑用对地方。如果有个无形的声音跟你说，停止打飞机，别再犯神经，可能是你的朋友在作弄你。或者是你有严重的精神病。亦或者是上帝真的在告诫你自我救赎。谁知道呢？

     The Plot: A high school senior takes a campus visit to a schooloverrun by political correctness. He winds up in the company of adude roughly in his sixteenth year of college (Jeremy Pivenbasically playing the proto-Van Wilder) and his burnout friends andtogether they raise hell and fight back against the school’suptight mores.
     一名高中生得到参观PCU高校的机会。他16岁的时候开公司（Van Wilder的的原型由Jeremy Piven饰演），和死党重回学校开辟天下。

     What We Learned: Apparently a dude in his mid-thirties sufferingfrom male pattern baldness can get away with being a collegestudent. Also, when life starts to suck, the administration wantsto kick you out of school and take your house, do the only thingyou can do: throw a giant party. Oh, and those angry chicks wholook and smell like a used Lollapalooza tour bus don’t like to becalled chicks. They’re womynists, damn it, and your phallocentrictyranny is at an end!
      观后感：人到中年的谢顶男人逃脱了大学生活。当生活变糟的时候，政府想把你踢出学校，占据你的房子，你唯一能做的是：开场大派对。那些看上去像用过的Lollapalooza旅行车的果儿们，他们是女权主义者，你的家庭暴力将被终止！

5. Wonder Boys《奇迹小子》

     The Plot: A burnt out professor and one time successful noveliststruggles to complete the follow-up to his award winning debut.Along the way, he deals with his own marriage issues, breaks upanother marriage, smokes a lot of weed, fends off the advances ofan alluring coed played by a pre-zombified Katie Holmes and triesto save the soul of another one of his students, played bySpider-Man, who ends up having an affair with Iron Man. Got allthat?
      这名过气教授曾是名噪一时的小说家，他即将面对获奖后的首次亮相。一直以来，他收拾婚姻的残局，再婚，烟瘾严重，避开Katie Holmes扮演的同校生的诱惑，试图挽救另一个学生的堕落，扮演与钢铁侠有染的蜘蛛侠。看明白了吗？

     What We Learned: Follow your heart and let inspiration into yourlife. Also, chicks dig a tortured genius. And most English Litmajors are pretentious jackoffs who will suck your soul dry. Butmost importantly, we learned that Iron Man will seduce Spider-Manthe first chance he gets.
     观后感：跟随你的内心，坦荡面对生活。年轻的姑娘将发掘你的潜力。多数学英国文学的都是自命不凡却思维枯竭的人。最重要的是，我们第一次知道钢铁侠会勾引蜘蛛侠。

     The Plot: Two nerds show up on campus expecting their lives tochange. Instead, they are terrorized by the jock fraternity, abusedby the hot girl sorority, and even have their dorm room stolen. Thetwo then band together with the rest of the nerds on campus, starttheir own fraternity and proceed to run wild all over campus in areign of terror not seen since the Mongol Empire. They stage a latenight black ops assault on the sorority, sabotage the jocks’football equipment, cheat their asses off to win the Greek Gamesand therefore steal the campus government, and Lewis even resortsto raping a chick in a moon room. Somehow -– I’m guessing throughsheer exhaustion and fear -– the rest of the campus tells the jocksto go to hell and celebrate with the nerds and Lewis and his victimfall madly in love.
     两个期待改变校园生活的书呆子上演的好戏。相反，他们受到兄弟会的恐吓，在辣妹联谊会上受辱，宿舍甚至被盗。此后两人联合学校其他书呆子们，开始以友爱对抗校园暴力。他们上演了一场黑衣人深夜偷袭，破坏了联谊会的足球设备，骗赢了希腊比赛，行窃了学校行政楼，Lewis甚至强奸了一名幼女。不知怎么的——我猜是行为过于极端和恐惧——学校里剩下的人咒骂足球队的人，反而疯狂的追随和支持书呆子们。

     What We Learned: If you follow the example set in this movie, youwill end up in federal prison. Also, exposing yourself to a blindperson is known as mopery. Oh, and if you need backup, alignyourself with a militant black fraternity because even Ogre can’tstand up to those guys.
      观后感：如果这部电影里有你追随的榜样，那你将来得入狱了。这众所周知。如果你需要支援，和黑社会结盟你将无往不利。

     The Plot: A trio of dudes experiencing mid-life crises bandtogether to form their own fraternity even though they aren’tenrolled in college. Their wild parties and general debaucherybecome so popular amongst the real students that they soon findthemselves awash in pledges to their new frat, both old and young.Persecuted by the local establishment (Jeremy Piven, with more hairhere as a middle aged Dean than he had as a college student in PCU–- how does that work?) the new frat is forced to defend theirhonor and their survival. Along the way, they fall in love, theyget divorced, and people even die. Poor Blue. Neverforget.

     What We Learned: College is fun for all ages and if your nicknameis “The Tank” your destiny probably involves getting bombed andeventually streaking through campus. Also, if someone knocks onyour door and says “I’m here for the gangbang” you might want toreevaluate your life. Oh, and most importantly, don’t let old menwrestle two topless chicks in a pool filled with K-Y Jelly. Notunless you’re prepared to sing at a funeral.
     观后感：校园是不分年龄人人共享的乐园，就算你被戏称为“坦克”，你的生活令你慌不择路。同时，如果有人敲开你的门说，“我在这乱搞”，你就要重新审视你的生活了。哦，最重要的是，不要让老男人袒着涂满果冻的胸，除非你打算在葬礼上唱歌。

     The Plot: An awkward genius of a college student creates Facebookand in the process ends up feuding with virtually every person onthe face of the earth.
      一位尴尬的创办Facebook的天才，几乎和世界上的每个人长期对抗。

     What We Learned: Screw school, just come up with a billion dollaridea, move to California and hang out with Justin Timberlake (andpresumably the roughly one billion women who follow him around on adaily basis.) Also, hot Asian chicks who will blow you in a publicbathroom on the first date probably aren’t the most stableprospects for a long term relationship. (They sure are fun though.Well, at least until they set your room on fire anyway.) Oh, andall Harvard Crew members are apparently Aryan cartooncharacters.
      观后感：仅为迸发出价值上亿的念头，辍学和Justin Timberlake一起搬到加州（想必大概有亿万女孩追随）。火辣的亚洲小妞和你第一次约会，就在公开场所比如洗手间为你吹箫，必不是长久稳定的恋爱关系。（虽然她们肯定很有意思，至少她们让你在屋里爽了一回。）哈佛船队的队员看起来像雅利安的卡通人物。

     The Plot: If you don’t know the plot to Animal House then I’mpretty sure you were either born in Bhutan or you are the mostculturally sheltered human being alive. In which case, this Website probably just blew your mind.
      如果你不知道《动物屋》的情节，那么我敢肯定你要么出生在不丹，要么你活的很封闭。无论何种情况，这个网站可能给你来场头脑风暴。

     What We Learned: College is the most debauched time in your life,class (all definitions of the word) is secondary to having a goodtime, nothing is more fun than getting shitfaced with all yourfriends and a few hundred hot, horny strangers and if you chug afifth of Jack Daniels in under a minute and terrorize that hot coedwho doesn’t close her curtains you will one day end up a Senator.Oh, and if a giant black dude asks if he can dance with your date,by all means, let the man dance with your date.
     观后感：大学是你最放荡的时间，课堂（字面意义上的）是其次的好时机。没有比同朋友一起更有意思的了，比如一分钟内吹一瓶15年的杰克丹尼，或者恐吓身材火辣不拉窗帘的同校女孩。如果一个身材高大的黑人哥们儿来邀请你的女伴跳支舞，还是乖乖的把女伴拱手相让吧。
