           这组形容词都有“满意的”、“满足的”意思。

       satisfied只用于作表语，常用结构是 be satisfied with 。satisfactory 和satisfying可用作表语或定语。

       1) So far as I know, he is quite satisfied with his present job as it offers much scope for displaying his talent.

           （据我所知,他道目前的工作相当满意,因为它提供了许多显示他的才能的机会。）

        2) The results obtained from the experiment is very satisfactory /satisfying.

            (从实验得出结果非常令人满意。)

        3) We have to come to inquire about the matter several times. We wish you will give us a satisfactory/satisfying reply today.

          （我们已经来过好几次打听这件事，希望今天你能给我们一个满意的答复。）

content 作形容词的意思是“满意的”、“满足的”常用结构是：

                   content with  (可与satisfied with换用)

                   content to do sth. （content可接动词不定式，satisfied则不可。）

       4) We should never be content / satisfied with what we have achieved.

          （我们不应该满足我们取得的成果。）

       5) It was apparent that he was perfectly content to live in a hut and paint pictures alone all day.

          （显然,他非常乐意住在小茅屋里整天作画。）

content   作动词是“使满足”的意思，常用结构是：content oneself with ……。

1) One should never content himself with book knowledge.

          （一个人不应该满足从书本得到的知识。）

       2) You have a good job and a happy family. You should content yourself with what you have.

          （如果我让你有另一个尝试的机会，它会使你满意吗?）

     fulfil

         这组动词都可表示“满足”的意思。

 satisfy  指完全符合或满足某种要求、规定、欲望、需求等。meet 普通用词，指能达到预期的目标、要求、规定等。 fulfil  指高水平达到规定的要求、标准。

       1) Do you satisfy the entry requirements for the college?

         （你符合该大学的入学要求吗?）

       2) We should make every means to satisfy the needs of the older population.

         （我们必须做一切努力满足老年人口的需要。）

       3) Something should be done to satisfy the children’s curiosity.

         （应该做事情来满足孩子们的好奇心。）

       4) Our quality policy is: to meet the needs of customers is our eternal pursuit.

           (我们的质量方针是: 满足客户的需求是我们永恒的追求。)

       5) They refused to negotiate unless three preliminary conditions were to be met.

          （他们拒绝谈判,除非三个初步条件得到满足。）

       6) We will do our utmost to fulfil all the requirements they set on the new product.

          （我们将竭尽全力满足他们在新产品上提出所有的要求。）

       7）He is the only child in the family, so the parents are trying their best to fill his needs.

            (他是家里的独生子,所以父母想方设法满足他的需要。)
