object objection
这两个词都可表示“反对”、“不赞成”的意思。
oppose 指行为上的反对，有时含有抗拒之意。oppose是及物动词，常用结构：be opposed to 。名词是opposition，接介词to。
1) His motion was opposed by most members at the committee meeting.
（在委员会的会议上他的提议遭到了大多数成员的反对。）
2) Many people opposed building a new highway because of the great cost.
（由于成本太高，许多人反对修建一条新的高速公路。）

4) We didn’t expect meeting any opposition to the proposal we set forth at the meeting.

object 指对某事不同意，多用于口头或文字。object是不及物动词，接介词to，常用结构：object to。名词是objection，接介词to。
1) I don’t think that you will object to me taking charge of the formidable project, do you?
(我想你不会反对我负责这项艰巨的工程，对吗?)
2) Although a scholar of renown, he would not object to others picking his brains on anything he knows about.
（虽然他是一位有名声显赫的学者，但他并不反对别人对他的学知提出挑战。）
3) He was so stubborn that he insisted on his objection to the new system.
（他极其固执，坚持反对新的体制。）
