SCI及SCI期刊源昆虫学杂志简介

对于大多数昆虫学家乃至生物学家而言，比较熟悉的大型国际检索期刊当为美国《生物学文摘》(Biological Abstracts, BA)、英国《动物学记录》(Zoological Record, ZR)等，而对综合性检索期刊SCI了解较少。近年来，我国不少科研和教学单位刮起了SCI风，在定职、评奖、立项时常常以SCI期刊源文章为重要的参考指标，而且，此风愈刮愈烈，大有漫卷全国之势。虽然不同的单位与个人对此现象有不同的看法，但多在国际上影响因子较高的期刊上发表文章，无疑会对提高我系的学术影响力起到积极作用。此处，谨将SCI期刊及有关昆虫学SCI期刊信息加以简介；同时，为了便于大家全面了解中国期刊的收录情况，也将有关入围的中国期刊罗列其中。

什么是SCI？

SCI是期刊Science Citation Index (《科学引文索引》的缩写，是由坐落在美国费城的一家私立科技情报研究所( Institute of Scientific Information, 简称ISI)编辑出版的综合型检索期刊。创刊于1961年，初为年刊，后改为季刊，1979年改为双月刊，现在每期分A~E5册。

SCI收录文章的范围主要为自然科学、医学、农林、技术、工程、环境、管理、社会科学、艺术与文学等，偏重于应用与技术。所报道的出版物主要来自以美英为主的40多个国家和地区，涉及近40种文字，1997年收入了4971种期刊，其中美国为1391种，英国748种，荷兰340种，德国266种，法国92种，日本81种，中国仅9种；被收录的期刊可以分为内圈期刊和外圈期刊(expanded)两类。近年每年收编的期刊源文献在60万条左右，引文文献1000多万条，覆盖了世界范围内的16000余种期刊与书籍。原则上，除广告、短评、书评 (Science 与Nature上的书评例外)外，出现在内圈出版物源中的独立文章及文章后的参考文献全部收录，而出现在外圈期刊上的文章有时则有选择地收录；但有些外圈期刊的影响因子比内圈期刊的还要大。国内各单位或各行业在评奖、晋职等场合对SCI文章以及所谓的内圈文章与外圈文章的看法不尽相同，有些单位不管是发表在内圈期刊还是外圈期刊上的文章都算SCI文章，有些单位仅承认在内圈期刊上的文章，而大多数单位则只认可某些权威检索机构的检索结果。

SCI对被收录的期刊每年要进行评估，个别期刊会被淘汰，同时还有一些新的期刊成为SCI的成员。如1998年，SCI所收录的63种昆虫学期刊中包括了Entomophaga (《昆虫天敌》)和Memoirs of the Entomological Society of Canada (《加拿大昆虫学会备忘录》)，2000年SCI收录的65种期刊则未包括上述两种期刊，而收入了Biocontrol (《生物防治》)、Biocontrol Science and Technology (《生物防治科学与技术》)、Journal of Apicultural Research (《养蜂研究杂志》)和Odonatologica (《蜻蜓学报》)。中国的《昆虫学报》曾于20世纪80年代被SCI收录，后来也被挤了出来。

SCI有哪些优缺点？

优点  目前，SCI由引文索引(citation index) 、来源索引(source index)及轮排主题索引(permuterm index)3部分组成。绝大部分科技文献都有参考文献，将所有被收入文献的参考文献按作者的姓氏排列起来编成引文索引，把来源出版物的每篇文献按作者的姓氏排列起来编成来源索引，将论文中的所有主题词抽出来按主题词字母顺序编成轮排主题索引。这种独特的索引系统也许是该刊成功的关键，从中读者可以比较方便地找到何人何时在何种刊物上发表了论文、某篇文章曾经被何人在何处引用等。基于这种引用与被引用的关系，可以提供一种不受任何特定术语或人为语言制约的检索途径；如只要知道某段时间发表过某方面文章的作者姓名，就能从来源索引入手找出此人发表在SCI来源期刊上的所有论文标题与文献。

描述；如果知道某一国家或地区或某单位的名称可以从来源索引中的团体索引(corporate index)入手找出相关的文献信息；轮排主题索引则可以使检索者从多个主题词出发查到同一文献，为检索者在不知道作者姓名的情况下检索提供了方便。

此外，SCI能帮助科技工作者掌握世界范围内某学科的动态，掌握哪些国家的哪些研究机构在从事什么研究，通过引文的分析可以评价期刊质量及人才预测，对于科研规划与管理也有一定的参考价值。

缺点  收录范围十分有限，世界科学期刊每年出版超过150000种，而SCI仅收入3%左右的期刊，并且存在一定的语种、地区偏见性。同样，在引用文献方面也存在作者、地区间的差异。总体而言，非英语国家的杂志收入甚少，很难用SCI文章和引用情况全面评价某人或某单位的学术水平。

与昆虫学有关的SCI期刊源杂志有哪些？

全世界大约有昆虫学期刊2000种，而被SCI收录的止2000年仅有65种，其中，内圈期刊43种，外圈期刊22种。此外，一些昆虫学文献还会出现在动物学、生物学、农林、医药、环境等与昆虫学相关的SCI杂志中，如Science、Nature、Cell、Evolution、Development等都有一些昆虫学文献。中国的昆虫学期刊目前尚未能进入SCI圈。
