China's top political advisor meets German Bundesrat speaker on bilateral ties

BERLIN, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Visiting China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin met with Horst Seehofer, President of the Bundesrat, or federal council, on Thursday on bilateral ties.
Jia, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, elucidated the wide range of common interests between China and Germany on maintaining world's peace and stability, enhancing regional economic growth and joint efforts in coping with the global challenge.
Conveying greetings by Wu Bangguo, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, Jia congratulated Seehofer for assuming the Presidency of the Bundesrat on behalf of the CPPCC National Committee.
