almost    表示几乎、差不多，语气较强，指非常接近某一数值或与某情况相差无几。

nearly    也表示差不多、接近的意思，但语气比almost弱，nearly通常指比较具体的事物，离要

          求或某一数量已相差无几。

 

     1) We stay in almost every night and watch television.

          (我们几乎每个晚上都呆在家里看电视。)

     2) She almost out of mind with grief.

          (她过度悲伤，几乎快要精神错乱了。)

hardly 和scarcely “几乎不”，是半否定词，两词可换用，常与can / could连用。
