被英法联军从圆明园掠走的鼠首和兔首铜像
　　
　　已现身纽约佳士得“伊夫·圣罗兰与皮埃尔·贝杰珍藏”拍卖预展，并于（当地时间）2009年2月23日-25日份在法国公开拍卖，这两尊头像是100多年前1860年英法联军自北京圆明园偷走的！

      　十二生肖雕塑青铜像
　　
　　兔首和鼠首属于一组依据十二生肖而雕塑的青铜像，原本安装在圆明园内的皇家喷泉内，总共十二件，在1860年第二次鸦片战争火烧圆明园时悉数遗失。这些流失海外的圆明园十二生肖兽首，从2000年开始陆续回归，至今为止，共有五件青铜兽首像回到中国。这五件青铜兽首像分别为：牛首、虎首、猴首、猪首和马首。
　　
　　预计本月23日至25日在巴黎拍卖的兔首和鼠首，则是目前所知依然存在的另外两件青铜兽首像，其余的五件青铜兽首像：龙首、蛇首、羊首、鸡首和狗首至今下落不明。中国目前珍藏的五件青铜兽首像中，牛首铜像、虎首铜像、猴首铜像等三件，是于2000年在港拍卖会中被保利集团所拍得，现存放在保利旗下北京保利艺术博物馆内。而猪首铜像和马首铜像则是由一位澳门商人先后购入，然后分别在2003年和2007年捐赠有关方面
